FDS Members Lantern Decoupage Activity

As members of FDS, we enjoy activities together which creates community within the group.  We love helping people with hardships they may be going through in their separation / divorce, trying to make this part of their lives as peaceful and respectful as possible with a view towards keeping the family unit together.

The Social Committee organized this social / teambuilding event.  This activity was “Lantern Decoupage” which FDS held at Petit Bizou Art Studio in Encino on a perfect Sunday morning.  We created two lanterns, each from patterned napkins, with the guidance of Gassia, the owner of Petit Bizou Art Studio. She gave us some history about decoupage and guided us through the steps of making our own unique lanterns.

The entire event was in the studio and we had a table with a great Sunday morning brunch spread.  It was a lot of fun – creating something new, while eating, sharing the experience with each other.
